I decided today that there are two kinds of people and two kinds of people only when it comes to the lock in their front door. Those who always know if their front door is locked and those who it doesn’t really matter if it’s locked or not. People who keep it unlocked all the time, fall into the first category, although they are a rare breed. People who leave the house, and if later in the day they decide that they mistakenly left the front door unlocked, they don’t spend the rest of their day worrying about it. Is one group better than the other? No. Whether a person keeps their front door locked continually or doesn’t really mind one way or the other, or the person who keeps it open all the time, says very little about the environment outside of the house, but so much more about the environment within.
