A new game on it’s way to me following it’s very successful Kickstarter is Zombie World. It’s a PbtA role playing game at heart, but uses cards instead of dice, which I really like for portability and it adds some constraints to character and setting creation, speeding those phases up a bit.
It’s made by a lot of the same crew that made Masks: A New Generation, which I’ve had fun with at the table once or twice. I typically don’t listen to other people’s actual play recordings, but I gave one a crack from the One Shot Podcast people, and it was GM’d by Sarah Richardson of Magpie Games and she did a fantastic job. Respect to the players at the table, because they did accents and made characters that I found interesting, but Ms. Richardson? Terrific. Links below.
