For years, I’ve come across people who think that incognito mode in a web browser is a Harry Potter style invisibility cloak for the Internet. I’m certain that law enforcement has easily caught people doing things they shouldn’t be doing online because that person thought that incognito mode did something more than it actually does.

The summary is - incognito mode keeps stuff from being saved on your computer, but does absolutely nothing who is watching your Internet traffic, which includes your Internet service provider, the website you are visiting, and everyone in between.
