recode: Antitrust officials ordered Facebook, Amazon, and other tech giants to disclose 10 years of acquisition documents

Without exception, all of the people that I’ve known that I have worked with that then went on to get involved with a start up have had a business plan that either acknowledge the possibility or hinged on attracting the attention of one of those big tech companies and being acquired. It’s that common. Good ideas in the American tech market no longer generate new self-sustaining, economically viable firms, but are soaked up to shield the entrenched interests from competition.

All the big tech firms do everything they can to negate Porter’s five forces analysis elements and the federal government has been in dereliction of duty to protect the market from malicious players. I hope that this signals that someone in the federal government is about to do their job.
