- Purdue Pharma pleads guilty to their role in the opioid epidemic. I very much hope that many people at the top level of Purdue spend a long time in jail cells. Thankfully, the states are going to continue to pursue the criminal Sackler family behind Purdue Pharma as the Department of Justice’s $8 billion settlement is not even close to enough. [BBC & Vox]
- The federal government is finally starting to enforce some of it’s own anti-trust laws and they’re being aimed at Google currently [BBC]. Sadly, Mozilla, maker of Firefox, my browser of choice, has decided to side with Google, since their deals with making google the default browser is funding them. I’ll happily see some cracked eggs for this omelette.
